Pin-up model, Sabina Kelley has been modeling professionally for about ten years, but her career originally began with dance.

From dancing at age two, Sabina eventually found herself performing at the Ballys Hotel in Las Vegas as a showgirl.

Model of the Week: Keycifer Black, revisited

Recently I talked to one of our previous Models of the Week, Keycifer Black. Key is a model and burlesque performer who tours with the troupe, The Peek-A-Boo Review. She’s no stranger to the public eye, as she’s been dancing for years and modeling since she was about 15. I might also mention that Key’s acted in a number of music videos and films, and has a former Miss Catwalk Tragedy title under her belt.

 

And with that being said, it’s time for Key to enlighten us about the world of burlesque…

What originally got you interested in burlesque?

Cabaret and the circus have always been of interest, so of course it was expected. Independent, strong-willed, “I do what I want and I do it well” women are my idols. It was time to be set free.

Time to Find Out Where All The Real Cool Kids Have Been Hiding…

I just found out about an awesome project via La Carmina’s blog, and I felt the need to pass the word along. Photographer Danielle Levitt is currently scouring the country for alt-kids (goths, punks, scenesters, jrockers, etc) to photograph and interview for a project focusing on youth subcultures.

Any young people on the fringe of the mainstream can be considered for the project, no matter where your location. So if this sounds at all like something you might want to be a part of–celebrating your subculture and personal style–be sure to check out all of the details here. Danielle’s work is great, and I’m actually really excited about this.

Model of the Week: Chloe Von Creepy

Chloe Von Creepy has me intrigued. How could she not when under her occupation description she writes, “I work in the porn industry, but I dont act in the movies (no nudies here!).” What exactly does Miss Creepy do? I have yet to find that out.
