It’s no secret that I hate Resort collections. I say it a billion times and sometimes I skip over them entirely. This year I decided to give them another chance, in the hopes I’d be pleasantly surprised, and I’ve so far found two collections with some pieces I can stomach (notice I didn’t say I’d fallen in love with the entire collection)–Balmain and McQueen.

I love Dsquared2’s Spring/Summer 2012 Menswear collection for a lot of reasons, but the main reason can be summed up in two words: Tiger sleeves. Yes, I said tiger sleeves.

Philly Fashion Week just wrapped up this past Saturday, and I dropped by the city in time to catch the  finale event–the Couture Runway Show.   Since PFW is obviously smaller than other fashion weeks, I feel like a lot of really great aspects fall under the radar, and newcomers don’t know what to expect.
